"Caring & Sharing - A Simple Way to Provide Food Assistance"

Please return
our Bags

We have a very high success rate of retrieving our bags, however we lose the opportunity to reuse the bags when they are not returned.

Not returning a bag can result in a lost opportunity to see hundreds of pounds of food being delivered to a food bank annualy.
The need for food assistance is always greater than the food donated.

Returning our bag is caring even if the bag is empty.

THANK YOU!

Residential Food Collection

Families need your help with food assistance.

Using our green bags as a system of collection, volunteers will drop of the bags to homes in their neighborhoods with an attached cover sheet to explain the food campaign.

Residents will be asked to fill the bags with non perishable food and leave them outside their front door on one of two scheduled pick up dates. If someone does not wish to participate, we request that they simply leave the empty bag for pickup.

Volunteers are provided when available, with 50 green bags and asked to distribute them once a month but not to repeat the same homes more than once every three months. Updated news letters are provided every three months to be stapled to the bags.

Volunteers can deliver the food collected each month to the local food bank of their choice, or they may contact the food bank and request the food be picked up at a central location from the volunteer.

Many families in your community will welcome the opportunity to support their local food bank and help those in need, since the green bag project handles the collection and delivery on their behalf.

The response we very often hear is how easy it now is to donate a small amount of food every three months to our local food bank and support their constant effort to help people who need food assistance.
