"Caring & Sharing - A Simple Way to Provide Food Assistance"

Please return
our Bags

We have a very high success rate of retrieving our bags, however we lose the opportunity to reuse the bags when they are not returned.

Not returning a bag can result in a lost opportunity to see hundreds of pounds of food being delivered to a food bank annualy.
The need for food assistance is always greater than the food donated.

Returning our bag is caring even if the bag is empty.

THANK YOU!

Welcome to the official website of the
 Green Bag Project!

We are a non-profit organization whose purpose is to organize food drives and neighborhood food collections, in partnership with local food banks, for distribution to those in need.

Green-Bag-Project.org is a non profit 501 C corporation with the following mission:

"Using our green bags as a focus for food collection, we are seeking volunteers who will schedule residential food drives, food drives at churches, synagogue's and temples and food drives at office and corporate centers with 50 or more employees."

All food collected will be delivered to a local food bank for distribution to needy families and seniors.

There are countless numbers of children, families and elderly who are in need of food assistance in every location in our country. Many families who until recently were able to provide a home and food for their children are now in a financial crisis having lost their job and for so many their home to foreclosure.

Assisting these families through this crisis by providing food at a local food bank is a simple and direct way to show our tradition of caring and sharing that has been a hallmark of America through out our history.

Volunteers need only to commit a few hours a month to be part of this national effort to feed all who are in need and volunteers can cancel their service at anytime.

Children in America should not be hungry.
